Yael Acher from Tel Aviv, Graduated with a Bachelors Degree of Music, Classical Flute Performing Arts from the Jerusalem Academy for Music & Dance, in 1992, and she lives in Copenhagen since then. She studied MAX/MSP, at Harvestworks, NYC, 2003. She is currently taking an MA, in Computer Music Composition, in New York City, since Jan. 2005, where she performs as well.
Applying to her compositions such media’s as electronic sound-generator, multi- track flute & computer studio recordings, Cubase and MAX/MSP. Inspired by the concrete electronic music, she is working with industrial noise/rhythms samplings, combining it with acoustic instruments.
Acher is a multiple genre instrumentalist & composer: performing Classical, Modern, Free-Improvisation, Progressive electro/instrumental Jazz, Free Jazz, Latin, Funky and Electronics - with ensembles, choirs and Modern Dance and DJs. |
